Description Graham Kent 2016-06-29 13:38:28 UTC
When using spreadsheets, I often use Data-Autofilter and have noticed that when I select a cell in the top line (containing filtered text), the text within the "Input Line" is scrambled.

This does not happen with characters outside of the Autofilter area.

I am using ARIAL font and have confirmed that the issue occurs with all character sizes.

And if you disable OpenGL rendering?
Comment 2 Graham Kent 2016-06-29 22:13:28 UTC
Apologies - I do not know how to disable OpenGL rendering.

Due to the content of the sheet I am reporting on, I cannot share it. I will attempt to recreate the issue in an new file.

Additional info -
> The sheet was created as a CSV and is being displayed in CALC.
> when first opened, the header row does not have Autofilter enabled and the header row is displayed correctly. Once the Autofilter is enabled, the header becomes scrambled.
> If the Autofilter is removed the header row remains scrambled.

hope this helps.

Tools -> Options -> View: checkbox "Use OpenGL for all rendering (on restart)"; uncheck that and restart LibreOffice. Retest.
Comment 4 Graham Kent 2016-06-30 20:15:05 UTC
sorry for the delay in response -

When I opened the file, this evening, I had no issues and no scrambled text even after applying Autofilter.

I have followed the option suggested and will continue to monitor.

Thanks for the help ...

Setting Resolved WFM, please reopen if you have continuing issues without OpenGL rendering.
