Description polodalgans 2016-07-01 13:45:28 UTC
Hello !
Ubuntu user for over 10 years, I just recently equip a CPU Dell Optiplex 780 with the new version 16.04 LTS. I installed properly my Brother MFC-6490CW printer on my internal network.
If I call the scanner with Xsane, everything is perfect
If I want to print in A3 or A4 from Gimp or Document Viewer included in the distribution is also quite perfect
By cons, since Impress, even for slides created A3, in the dialog box for selecting the printer paper size, the button is grayed out and remains hopelessly stuck on A4. It is the same also with Write or Calc, hence my suspicion following Libre Office 5.1.4.2
If someone has an idea, I'm interested. Meanwhile, I am obliged to export to PDF before printing my documents A3
Thank you for your help

My rough guess is that it has something todo with the fact that ubuntu only supplies half the package on the latest ubuntu for size reasons. Could be wrong here, but that's simply my observation. And that's why i kicked the version that came with it and installed the normal version from the LO site. So why not try to install a full package, see if it works and report back.
