Created attachment 126202 [details] Example to test fill-hatch background Open attached document and try to set the background to "White" for the left shape. It is not possible. "White" is erroneously taken synonym for "transparent". The error has come in, when the setting, that the hatch should have a background, was moved from the "area" tab to the "hatching" tab. The old version had a checkbox to indicate, whether the hatch has a background or not. That corresponds to the style attribute draw:fill-hatch-solid. The color itself is in style attribute draw:fill-color. I'm using Version: 5.2.0.1.0+ Build ID: 313543cd7b8d8614dec08925894fb5eb95c8fc95 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:libreoffice-5-2, Time: 2016-07-06_14:20:05 Locale: de-DE (de_DE)
Patch submitted - https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/27258/ . +1 the commit if the issue is fixed.
I prefer that this patch it not merged, because it only solves this special issue. For other problems see bug 100975.
Rishabh Kumar committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=ea96d97020322052a8d65e6e9bf521682819eb8e tdf#100907: Cannot set white background for hatching It will be available in 5.3.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
Rishabh's patch fixes the issue (though I'm not happy with the placement of the controls directly under the hatching options; it belongs to the preview rather)
