current help content (en-US) for Custom Properties panel
The provided help content is correct and seems sufficient for the built-in or on-line help. What are you proposing in addition to the descriptive text for the buttons?
I don't believe adding "usage" to this dialog panel would improve things--and as always adds a l10n burden for translation.
Suppose the Writer Guide content for "Working with Fields" (WG4214 pg 5-7, attaching) might be adapted, but seems the topic is better handled in other documentation rather than built-in or on-line help.
