For me, the zoom level this happens with is 55% (font: Liberation Sans, size: 10), and the text is hardly readable anyways. I used LibreOffice 5.1.4.2 / Windows 7.

Can you give further details, eg. which font you used, and what the zoom level was when this happened?

For the record, a possible cause could’ve been the gridfitting (“hinting”), or lack thereof, of the font you were using. This is speculation, of course, since there’s no screenshot attached to this report.
