I have just updated windows 10 on my HP laptop. Since then, I find that I cannot save writer files in odt or word format. If I try to save I get a warning message that the file cannot be saved. Then the entire program hangs. I can only save in rich text format. There is no problem opening dot or word files. Before this, Writer was very stable. I had previously set the program to automatically save in word docx format and it had been fine working for months. I am using version 5.1.4.2
2 things you can try: 1) Upgrade to brand new LO 5.1.5 (or 5.2.0 but have in mind that it's the first version from 5.2 branch) 2) Rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows)

Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
