When viewing a single page in print layout with zoom enough to fit 2 pages on the screen, the page is positioned on the left, but should be centered, once there is only one page.
When increased the zoom, it switchs to the center.

Something wrt. the print preview was changed last year, or so. Don't remember exactly. The recent (fresh) version 5.2 centers the single page preview you expect.

Your screenshot does not show the print layout but the editing window.
Try to use the single page view: in the status bar just left of the zoom slider, choose the first left icon instead of the second.

Without answer from the reporter, I guess my diagnostic in comment #4 is still correct. So closing today as NotABug instead of insufficient data in one month. Feel free to reopen if you disagree.
