When adding a new bibliography entry from document content to a text, if it is added before an existing bibliography entry (higher up in the text - in previous pages etc), then the bibliography numbering of the following entries doesn't update. For example if an entry is added between existing bibliography entries #6 and #7, then the new entry will be numbered #7 and the previous #7 remains #7, thus there is a duplicate number. The problem persists even if the bibliography index is updated manually. However, the numbering gets corrected if I close and reopen Writer. I have tested this on Ubuntu 16.04.
Hello Adrian, *, I cannot confirm your bug with OS: Debian Testing AMD64 LO: Version: 5.2.0.4 Build-ID: 1:5.2.0-2 CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: GL; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8) (Debian's own version) nor with LO: Version: 5.1.5.2 Build ID: 7a864d8825610a8c07cfc3bc01dd4fce6a9447e5 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.5; UI Render: default; Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group (parallel installed, following the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux) nor with AOO: AOO412m3(Build:9782) - Rev. 1709696 2015-10-21 09:51 - Linux x86_64 (also parallel installed) , sorry ... :( Just out of interest: does this occur with Ubuntu's LO version or with ours? If it only occurs with Ubuntu's: have you searched Ubuntu's bugtracker (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice) for it? If it is with our version only: have you tested it with a newer version of LO than 5.1.4.2 (say 5.1.5-2 or 5.2.0.4)? Does this error occur there as well? If so would you be so kind to a. stop all running instances of Lo (QuickStarter, any open module, etc.) b. rename your LO config directory (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile for further information) and retry it again? Does this solve your problem? Setting the status to "NEEDINFO" to get these answers here ... ;) Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice day Thomas.
