Used versions: 5.0.6.3 in Windows32, 5.1.5.2-64 on Windows64 Steps to reproduce: -open Calc document -set any cell to a chosen background colour with the background colour toolbar button -set any cell to another chosen background colour with the background colour toolbar button -open dialog of background colour toolbar button; you see the two applied colours in 'Recent' -close dialog -select any cell and insert comment -open dialog of background colour toolbar button; you expect to see the two applied colours in 'Recent', but 'Recent' is empty! In version 5.3(master) on Linux, the problem does not occur.
Not reproduced. Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Version: 5.2.2.2 (x64) Build ID: 8f96e87c890bf8fa77463cd4b640a2312823f3ad CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default; Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); Calc: CL Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 7da2f3ce9f7b049c177a735a146dae84a764d3f7 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2016-10-04_03:49:06 Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI); Calc: CL
Tested on version 5.2.2.2 (x64) on Windows7 pro: I can still reproduce the problem. Additional information: during the time that the comment can be entered/edited, the toolbar changes and the cell-background colour button is not in the toolbar. When closing the comment, the toolbar 'restores', but presumably reinitialises as well, causing the history to disappear. The problem can also be reproduced by making the cell-background colour button contain recently used colours and editing an existing comment.
What is your setting Tools - Options - LibO - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering?
(In reply to Winfried Donkers from comment #0) > In version 5.3(master) on Linux, the problem does not occur. Right, because it was only implemented during the last GSoC: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=7f262a41017685709c288b57c8f03244e8c6149e
