Description Tim Grantham 2016-09-06 17:09:35 UTC
I am no longer able to add a table style to the Autoformats. I have only just noticed this bug in v4.4.3.2, so I don't know what version of Writer it stopped working.

To duplicate the error:
1. Select the table from which to add the Autoformat.
2. Select Table > Autoformat...
3. Select Add in Autoformats dialog.
4. Enter name for new autoformat and select OK. (Preview of new autoformat fails to show any of the background colours used in source table.)
5. Select OK.
6. Select target table to apply new autoformat.
7. Select Table > Autoformat...
8. Select new autoformat in list of available autoformats.
9. Select OK.

New autoformat does not get applied to target table.

Please try with a current version. Version 4 is outdated.

Just tried it with 5.0.6.2, which is the most recent version I can get for Linux Mint 17.2.

It still does not work correctly. The autoformat does not capture the source table styles correctly: the header row only has one cell set to the right colour, and the pattern of alternating colours on the remaining rows has not been picked up.

In the attached file, the before table is the one I added as an autoformat, the after table is what it looks like after applying the new autoformat.

Something is broken in this file. I get the same incorrect result even with 3.6, even though you claim it used to work.

If I recreate such a table from scratch in a new document and use it to apply autoformat, it works just fine.

Could you please try creating a new document from scratch with the latest LibreOffice version?
You can install the latest version on Mint by following these instructions: http://www.noobslab.com/2016/08/libreoffice-520-release-and-available.html
Notice you have to use different instructions than with Ubuntu.
