In Impress the Properties Deck, the Layouts content panel is keyboard locked on entry. STR 1. new Impress presentation 2. F6 cycle to Sidebar deck (default Properties deck get focus) 3. Cursor DOWN onto Slide content panel 4. Cursor DOWN onto Layouts content panel 5. TAB entry into the content panel 6. Cursor movements (D,R,L,U) to select a layout 7. Enter to select 7. Attempt to leave content panel... HOW? Unable to return to the Title of the Layouts content panel Expected: A TAB or Shift+TAB would position the focus of the Content panel back to its title. And allow movement from there to the Slide Content panel or to the Tab Bar. Focus is keyboard trapped.
Confirmed as tab and shift+tab dont work. Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 78404fe5549fded2eaf0c5ea6e1ca66039e995af CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Linux 3.19; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2016-09-11_09:14:01 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group

(In reply to Jim Raykowski from comment #2) > > Focus is keyboard trapped. > > On my build the Esc key returns focus to the Layouts panel title. True. On a Windows build Version: 6.0.0.3 (x64) Build ID: 64a0f66915f38c6217de274f0aa8e15618924765 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL With a selection made, the Escape will exit the Layouts selection widget back to the Panels title. And F10 will shift focus to the main menu File button. So the keyboard lock is resolved. But, believe with selection made in the Sidebar Deck, F6/<Shift>F6 or TAB/<Shift>TAB should advance out of the panel.
Sorry about the double post. My internet connection is often unreliable.
(In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #4) > > But, believe with selection made in the Sidebar Deck, F6/<Shift>F6 or > TAB/<Shift>TAB should advance out of the panel. While in layout selection F6/<Shift>F6 advances out of the sidebar. F6 goes to a toolbar for me. Tab/<Shift>TAB do nothing. ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! On recent master/6.3 build, <F6> or <Shift><F6> is correctly advancing out of the "Layouts" content panel and out of the Sidebar, while <ESC> will exit cursor navigation back to the Panel title. No action from the <TAB> or <Shift><Tab>, but that is not an issue. Behavior seems consistent. Unless Jim R. can pin down a fix, closing this => WFM
