When opening documents over CMIS the url is on the format: vnd.libreoffice.cmis://xxxxx Please register this as a file handle on all OS:es possible to allow for simple integration with browsers and document management systems. MS does this for office documents which allows for documents to open for editing from a sharepoint compatible repository from a browser without using special plugins. Today the above url handle will open libreoffice on windows, but will not load files over cmis. On MacOSX nothing at all happens. If you start libreoffice on the command line using "soffice vnd.libreoffice.cmis://xxxx" it will successully open a remote document over cmis.
Which LO version do you use? FYI, last stable one is 5.1.5 or even 5.2.1
