Vectorizing of text fails.

MacOSX 10.11.6 / LibreOffice 5.2.1.2

Trying to convert Text into Outlines (Modify - Convert - To Curve) creates strange objects (see attached pic). No matter what font is used. Major bug.

Draw test file with the bug.

This bug not always shows up. Sometimes it appears in new documents, sometimes all works well. I add a Draw test document, in which I successfully can recreate the bug.

Confirming with

Version: 5.2.1.2
Build ID: 31dd62db80d4e60af04904455ec9c9219178d620
Threads CPU : 2; Version de l'OS :Mac OS X 10.12; UI Render : par défaut;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group

and your test file.

This rings a bell as a bug already filed, but a quick search didn't reveal the initial bug post, so leaving this as NEW. From memory, the bug goes back a fair way, and was already present in earlier versions.
Comment 3 Alex Thurgood 2016-09-21 13:47:36 UTC
It needs to be checked against older versions to determine when the bug first appeared, and whether or not this is a regression

This works for me, and looks like the same exact issue as in bug 96450
