Build Identifier: swriter.exe bug

Cannot open Libre Office and receiving the following message:
swriter.exe System Error
The program can't start because  MSVCR110.ddl is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. 
I don't know if I will lose files if I reinstall the program.

I have an Asus laptop with Windows 8 and this bug started after a Widnows update.

You won't lose files if you reinstall. Also - you should most definitely have backups of any files in case of other system failures ;)

Also, please do your LibreOffice reinstallation "Run as Administrator" from Windows Explorer to ensure the MS Visual C++ Runtime is installed correctly.

Alternatively, open an Admin Command Prompt window (<WindowKey>+X), and launch the package manager "appwiz.cpl" from there--it will get Administrator priviledges--do the LibreOffice uninstall and a new install.

Then let us know if you still are missing the runtimme after an uninstall/reinstall cycle.
