Description Francisco 2016-09-30 18:10:15 UTC
As title says, with a fresh environment on a just installed LibO 5.2.2

Steps
1) Create a new document
2) Don't type anything, just scroll down and up your fonts

Result
1) Crash

Expected:
1) No crash

I can reproduce this any time in mi notebook. Also, 2 crash reports were sent (there was a third one but it hanged it self and never finished):

http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/006ad417-2dd0-4044-bdf6-d3218e2551bd

http://crashreport.libreoffice.org/stats/crash_details/c6c1cc96-1324-4f52-8f4e-b3be6a76a605

I check on Writer and Impress. I guess it would be the same for the rest of the apps.

Does the crash still occur if you disable Tools -> Options -> View: Font Lists "Show preview of fonts" by unchecking it and restarting.

The list of fonts will then just show in the system font with no preview.

Also, is there a particular font that seems to cause the crash?

Do you have a crash if rather than the Font drop list box on the Formatting toolbar you use the Character properties dialog and scroll the fonts there? Again is there a particular font that seems to cause the crash?

Hi Stuart,

I stopped when I disabled OpenGL. Also, some problems regarding the speed of displaying text while typing disappeared.

However, up to here, LibO 5.0.6 didn't had this problem.

No, just took the scroll bar with the pointer and start to move up an down.

No crash here from Character dialog.

OK, so just to confirm. The only crashes are when you enable the OpenGL rendering?

It could be that your GPU and driver should be black-listed (not allowed to run OpenGL) unless you force it.

Please post your GPU and driver details.

Copy from a run of "msinfo32.exe" in the Components -> Display panel and paste.

The blocked meta bug 93529 will alert the appropriate developers.

Hi Stuart, sorry for my late response. I've been outside the Windows World and couldn't try it.

Yes, if I enable OpenGL I'm still facing the crash with

Duplicating this to bug 106265

@Francisco, please comment over in the other issue on the count of active fonts you have, and if you have the Language Tools extension installed.

Thanks!
