Description:
I was used to get the date completed by pressing enter after number+slash. In LO help: nomberD.numberM should return the same result, but it does not.

Actual Results:  
Remains as is typed

Expected Results:
I suggest number+/ (e.g. 12/) turns to date in standard format (12.10.16)

You should consider different date/time formats. 2016/10/12 is common in U.S. and the slash wont work anymore. Actually I wonder where you get familiarized to this autocomplete trigger. But anyway, I also faced the issue of 10.12 being falsely interpreted as number (even when the cell is date formatted). And autocomplete is the second step to adding the ending dot.

Adding ;D/ to the Date acceptance pattern works for me.
