The 'Acknowledgements' title is present on the first page too. The only difference between MSOffice and LO is that LO show the title in foreground and MSOffice in background. When I select the blue background in LO, right click, arrange, Front one, the title goes in background.
Confirmed here as well. Btw. tested on 3.6, but it was so buggy that Acks were not on 2nd page at all..
