Description: I tried installing LibreOffice 5.2.2 for Windows in Wineskin on MacOS Sierra, to see if the cursorblinkrate=-1 setting in Wineskin would work around bugs #35077, #94147, #100706, etc. in OS X/MacOS. The installer runs. The swriter.exe, quickstart.exe, and soffice.exe do not run after installation. A new icon appears in the MacOS dock, and a blank white rectanngle appears in some exes, but nothing further. I haven't tested LibreOffice 5.2.2 for Windows in Wine, but suspect it may have similar problems. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Wineskin Winery 2. Download the Windows installer for LibreOffice 3. Create a Wineskin for LibreOffice 4. Install the Windows version of LibreOffice in the Wineskin 5. Select a likely exe as the Windows Exe 6. Test Run each exe Actual Results: A new icon appears in the MacOS dock, and a blank white rectanngle appears in some exes, but nothing further. Expected Results: LibreOffice should open. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: LibreOffice doesn't open, so I can't reset my profile there. Additional Info: Since LibreOffice has Linux and MacOS versions, *most* users won't need Wine or Wineskin versions. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
According to this, LibreOffice 3 and 4 used to run in Wine: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=28137 I'm getting the same bug with 3.6.7.2.
More testing. LibreOffice 5.2.1 Portable does not run. OpenOffice 4.1.3 does run in Wine, but the corresponding version doesn't run in MacOS. However, that doesn't establish that this wasn't inherited from OO.
I mean OpenOffice 4.1.3 runs in Wineskin, though presumably also in basic Wine.
That is a bug in Wine/Wineskin, and should be reported there.
