Description Martin 2016-10-28 12:35:28 UTC
Description:
I am trying to set up a database to store and manipulate data about theatre productions. I have used various wizards etc. to set up a db. When I open the grid although the column categories are there I cannot enter any data, either by directly typing or by cut and paste. The db is dead to the world.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create db via wizard
2.open db
3.try to add data to db

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
Allowed me to build my database

Reproducible: Always

Did this work for you in an older version? What about version 5.2.3?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

@Martin :

Does your table have a primary key ?

Without a primary key in the table, you will not be able to enter any data.

It would also be helpful if you could provide a copy of the ODB file as an attachment, as this avoids us having to try and second guess what you have done.

This ia all based on the assumption that you are using the embedded hsqldb database engine in your ODB file.
