Description: NOTE: that this problem also occurs using libreoffice-still-5.1.5-3 and libreoffice-fresh 5.2.1-2. I haven't tried other versions yet. After opening a file, the display is initially ok. However, after a varying amount of time, the font an or face changes. E.g. - the character set is changed, often to something that is unreadable, possibly a non-roman character set. - some characters are switched to bold. - some characters are switehed to italics. This occurs both with old files AND with newly created files. If libreoffice is shutdown, restarted and the file reopened, it initially appears correctly, but eventually the problem reoccurs. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a calc file or create a new one and add some text to a cell. 2. Wait 3. Actual Results: The character set is changed, often to something that is unreadable, possibly a non-roman character set and/or some characters are switched to bold. and/or some characters are switehed to italics. Expected Results: Not changed fonts, faces, and or character set. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
Would be interesting to hear your experience with a fresh 5.3 as it has a new font engine: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/?C=M;O=A https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux
