Menu Tables advertises <Ctrl>+<F12> to insert a table. However this key combination has no visible result. I see this in daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2016-10-31 and in 43-all bibisect repository version oldest running on debian-stretch. I thought I remembered this shortcut working once, but maybe I am dreaming. For comparison, the shortcut does work in Windows daily built 2016-10-31.
It works for me with Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 8a796410ec8f440b4163b15b928347c499da7a8f CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2016-10-20_23:07:21 Locale: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: group Please look in menu Table the first item "Insert Table". Which shortcut keys are listed there?
I can't reproduce it in gtk/gtk3 in Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 64d3bd38c9242c1cc114f6e68bf13475ef679b73 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.2; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk3; Layout Engine: old; Locale: ca-ES (ca_ES.UTF-8); Calc: group
I can't reproduce it in daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2016-09-18 too. Could you please check the menu as mentioned in comment 1 ? Setting to NEEDINFO meanwhile...
If I navigate the menus, I can insert a table withou any problem. Is that what you are asking, Xisco? I should have said that I am using Xfce. Perhaps that makes a difference. Looking in the Xfce keyboard settings, I do not see that <Ctrl>+<F12> is being mapped to anything.
I can reproduce it in xubuntu 16.04 using libreoffice ppa (version 1:5.2.3~rc2-0ubuntu1~xenial1 ) I have ctrl+f12 listed as shortcut but it doesn't work. Menu entry works fine.
The bug is apparent in debian-stretch 64-bit on xfce desktop in LO version 5.2.3.3 as distributed with debian-stretch and daily dbgutil bibisect repository version 2016-12-06. Based on comment 5, I am setting bug status NEW. If I have left any questions unanswered, please ask me again.

I still see the bug in dailt Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2018-12-11.
it possible system settings for shortcuts makes shortcuts in LibreOffice unusable. In Kubuntu 18.10 Ctrl+F12 just shows me Desktop instead any actions inside LibreOffice

NO MORE in Version: 7.1.0.3 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 10(Build:3) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I use plasma and when I disable the "keyboard shortcut" for "show desktop" in system sittings for plasma. the shortcut in LO office and the dialog is shown just like if I press the menu entry in 'Table>insert table'
I still see the bug in a local build of commit 005adbef (2021-03-18) built and running on debian-buster with xfce desktop. Considering that others do not see the problem and that there is an obvious workaround, I am setting bug status RESOLVED INSUFFICIENTDATA.
