Description [REDACTED] 2016-11-08 10:51:27 UTC
For historical reasons autocorrect still uses the shortcut _text_ for underlining (I have worked with a real non-electronic typewriter, I've been there). However, almost nobody still underlines text, it's been italics for years. So, it'd be nice if _text_ would be set to italics instead.

"For historical reasons" - that should say why this is being closed. It's untrue that "almost nobody still underlines text" (citation proving that?) This seems to be begging a flame war for nearly no gain. Ctrl + i will italicize and the amount of work to do that vs _text_ seems like not a big deal. Furthermore _text_ seems to obviously implicate underlining (as "_" suggests an underline and has zero to do with italicizing)
