If you drag the first line, in second or third position, the cross reference is updated accordingly. The same holds if you drag the third line. But if you drag the second line to the top then the cross reference simply breaks. In other more complicated situations, the cross reference may not break completely but become wrong, something like: when dragging to the top, instead of becoming Cross reference 1, it becomes Cross reference 4...
