I can hide a selection of grid lines using Foramt -> Cells -> Borders. They disappear on screen, but appear in Print Preview and if I export to pdf
Have you marked on the page format, sheet tab, print grid enable?
Created attachment 128888 [details] Modified test file. Pls answer here and attach here the files. >Yes. It is not failing to print the grid - it is printing it everywhere, including the >portion where I have 'removed' the lines. See the print preview > >Excel prints it correctly > Grid lines are different than border lines. Border lines can be set up as you know for every cell, but grid lines only can be set up to show all or not, but not by cell. There is an option about grid lines in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/View - Visual aids, on how see them while working with the spreadsheet. Adding your file deleting personal information. Now without print grid enable, and with borders on table cells.
IMO not a bug, please if you are not agree reopen it.
Please again, answer here in bugzilla and attach here the files. >So are you saying that I must set display grid to zero, and then select all the >cells for which I want borders, and specify accordingly. Seems a bit clumsy, and >not how Excel worKs >But thanks for the response After further investigation, looks as calc gives priority for print to the grid over cell's format and excel does it to the inverse, tested with Excel previewer, saving the sample as xlsx. Also calc works different on the working layout than print preview. I'm not clear: how is exactly hidden a selection of grid lines?
