The problematic document
Attached XLS has a chart on the second sheet with data series formatted with different patterns.
In Calc 5.1.4 these are all replaced with the same Black 45 degree hatching.
This problem is quite similar to bug #94231 but let's have this open for XLS format too.

LibreOffice Version: 126.96.36.199 Build ID: 1:5.1.4-0ubuntu1
In my LO it's ok.
Unconfirmed with v188.8.131.52 under ubuntu 16.04 x64.
Confirmed with v184.108.40.206 under windows 7 x64.
Confirmed with v220.127.116.11 under windows 10 x64.
Seems windows only ?!

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/
2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword
