Recently LibreOffice allowing left-to-right (vertical) direction, but it is availably only in Writer, Impress have no way to use it. Such direction is also required by PRC national standard GB/T 26233-2010.
Steps to Reproduce:
See bug 104606.
Currently only two horizontal text directions available in Impress.
Impress should provide related setting at least in page level.
User Profile Reset: No
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Let's set this to NEW as well.
Does Impress support any vertical text at all?

Yes, but is very limited. Currently only text box is allowed to use that, and only right-to-left (vertical) direction is available. I have inserted Text direction from left to right and Text direction from top to bottom buttons into toolbar, then these buttons work for me with text box, when I use them for table, the cursor is move out. Additionaly, there is no entry of using these directions at page level.

This can be done via coping related codes from Writer, but we need to break through some technical limits as bug 103720 pointed out.
