Description: As stated above, but more detail: I've never seen a wizard open. Design View seems to work always. But: after saving a Report, I can never re-open it "Could not create Java Implementation loader". Can never execute a report "an error occurred while creating the report". Base does not remember the JRE connection: every time I open it, I have to do "Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Advanced", wait for "Oracle Corporation 1.8.0_111" to appear, then click OK. Not sure about Class Path (documentation is weak) but I put in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\lib" which is where a file named "classlist" is located. Steps to Reproduce: 1. As described above. 2. 3. Actual Results: Also: If I start Base first thing, then my table has garbled characters. To prevent this, I first open the .dbf file, then open Base, close .dbf file, open table from within Base. Then there is no character garbling. Expected Results: All permutations of waving arms and holding tongue just right give same results. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No. It is getting late and I'm too tired to do a good job of it. I'll try it tomorrow. My Base operation is strange enough that I could believe this to be the problem according to what the instructions say. Please give a try to last stable LO version 5.2.4. Indeed, Java with 3 digits in minor version has been fixed (see tdf#101057). Moreover 5.1 branch is EOL. Also, 1 problem per bugtracker. So let's focus here about wizards that don't open.
"wizards that don't open": version 5.1.6.2 I tried regenerating the USER directory by renaming it, and the program did create a new USER directory. This did not change any symptoms that I could detect. Updated to 5.2.4: changed the USER directory back to my original one and updated the version to 5.2.4. Now the wizards open. The garbling issue still happens in the table, but I can work around that as described originally. The reports file can be edited, and now it opens and creates a report. This appears to be very good. I will work with it and gain a more detailed understanding of how it works now, and maybe later submit a report about the garbled data in the table. Thanks for your support!(In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #1) > Please give a try to last stable LO version 5.2.4. > Indeed, Java with 3 digits in minor version has been fixed (see tdf#101057). > Moreover 5.1 branch is EOL. > > Also, 1 problem per bugtracker. Thank you for your feedback, let's put this one to WFM then.
