There is a little icon in the status bar at bottom, but less obvious than within the save icon

WFME, ok in 6.0 RC1
Problem still present with 6.0.0 RC1 if notebookbar is set to "Contextual groups". Works ok with other notebookbar options.

Still present in LO 7.4.3.2 in other bar configurations, a dot is shown on the diskette icon when the document is modified. This is not the case with notebook bar in Register or Grouped mode
and what is "registered mode" or "Grouped mode"? I looked at Groupbar - compact and it was fine. Contextual single has no save button at all, so of course there is no indicator. I'm assuming this report is only discussing visible save buttons that aren't getting an updated indicator.
LO 7.5.4 When a diskette (save) icon is shown, it gets a red dot when the document is updated -> it works for me. in contextual compact there is no save button - but there is a diskette icon at the left in the status bar that turns into red if the document is updated -> works for me
