Description cisternsystem 2017-01-01 11:38:19 UTC
I would like to report maybe not a bug but using inconvenience of UI:

when I have opened multipaged spreadsheet (ODF) title of one sheet is bolded in a tab. This means that sheet is selected and ready to be edited, including using keyboard. Nevertheless I have to select tab of this sheet once again to be able to move between cells of this sheet by cursor keys or, for sample, insert rows using keyboard shortcuts.

Is it possible to eliminate such inconvenience?

I don't have this problem.

If I change sheets with Ctrl+PgUp and PgDn, I can immediately move in the sheet with arrow keys.

I wonder what is different in your system.

The problem happens then I have just opened the document (just in case: without changing current sheet).

I can move across cells of current sheet with mouse and I can insert rows using "Sheet > Insert Rows > Rows Above/Rows Below" menu command, but I can neither move across cells with cusror keys nor insert rows using keyboard shortcut for above mentioned menu command, because to be able to use them I first have to click on the current sheet tab or, for sample, click the scroll bar of current sheet.

It is not too convenient, is not it?

Ok, I just don't have that problem. I can immediately move across cells with the keyboard. I tested with this file, which has plenty of sheets: attachment 130153 [details]

happens that with all files or only a specific one? what happens with a new file?
Comment 5 cisternsystem 2017-01-05 14:20:55 UTC
Problem happens with any ODS file, for any keyboard shortcut, by the way, including shortcuts for "File > Open" and "File > New" menu commands.

In a newly created spreadsheet I can move across cells using keyboard if you mean it.

Can you try LibreOffice 5.3 please?
Comment 7 Dennis Roczek 2017-03-12 13:04:03 UTC
moreover which Windows version do you use?
Comment 8 cisternsystem 2017-03-13 18:17:47 UTC
I have updated LibreOffice to version 5.3.0.3 and in that verision the problem is no more. So thanks to developers. Case can be closed.
