Description Bouss 2017-01-22 20:21:15 UTC
I use the spreadsheet software a lot. Apart from making the computer a lot slower while the application is running (even if there is no file open), when working with a csv file, sometimes it tends to change data containing a comma and decimals. It does not do it to all data (randomly changes stuff) and there is no way I can duplicate this, since it happens randomly. Unusable due to that, since the result cannot be trusted (ex. changes 345.45 to 34545 without notice, ignoring the comma).

Spreadsheet as read by LibreOffice

Check cell C61345 for example, which should be 30.505 instead, as correctly read by Microsoft's Excel or Apple's Numbers. Notice that in other cases numbers are correctly read, though in the screenshot attached every number without decimals is read wrong.

@Bouss : we need an actual file to test with, rather than a screenshot. The attachment you posted is a screenshot not a spreadsheet, CSV, or other tabular data file that can be opened in LO Calc

2 things:
1) please provide LO version. Last stable one 5.2.4
2) Do you want to work on a fix for your problem? If yes change status to ASSIGNED, if not, please reset assignee field.
