Description Volga 2017-01-23 08:54:12 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice have already enabled left-to-right (vertical) direction, but several buttons does nor have proper icons.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer
2. Format -> Page -> Page -> Text direction: Left-to-right (vertical)

Actual Results:
When this direction is enabled, Toggle Bulleted List and Toggle Numbered List buttons transformed their icons, but their icons are specially designed for right-to-left (vertical) direction. See: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/8/8e/Vertical_left-to-right_text_on_LibreOffice_Writer.png

Expected Results:
These buttons should provide their variant for such direction when this direction is enabled.

Reproducible: Always

OK got it from https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/4206/text-orientation-vertical-asian/

Please elaborate how the icons should look like? I don't see issue here

For example, while Left To Right (Vertical) direction is enabled .uno:DefaultBullet command should have the following icon to adapt that:

•  •  •
|| || ||
|| || ||
|| || ||
|  |  |

The .uno:DefaultNumbering command should also have the following icon to follow this change:

1  2  3
|| || ||
|| || ||
|| || ||
|  |  |

The .uno:TextdirectionTopToBottom command should also have an option to allow Left To Right (Vertical) block direction, which should be present as this:

A  |  |
|  |  |
|  |  |
V  V  V

No repro, icons are presented like in this example (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/8/8e/Vertical_left-to-right_text_on_LibreOffice_Writer.png):

Version: 24.2.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: bfbae5ddd52cf80af94b250b9de349f0340dbe34
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); UI: fr-FR
Calc: threaded
Comment 11 Eyal Rozenberg 2024-07-21 11:47:48 UTC
Also can't reproduce with:

Version: 25.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: b657b6c6c918fb7c239ad835db44de249b1c1763
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Marking as FIXED... I guess. If you still see buggy behavior, please reopen, but provide a build ID and a screenshot of what you're seeing right now, as an attachment.

Sophie, Eyal:

Sorry, you have not understand what the problem is. If page or frame is set let-to-right (vertical) direction, some of toolbar icons doesn't match that. Look at the red frame I added on this screenshot.
