Created attachment 130742 [details] Sample document Hi, I am not the author of this document and can't really tell how it was created, but opening the same file in the latest LibreOffice 5.3.0.3 and Word 2007 shows differences in text rendering and image placements. A picture and the document are attached. Thanks,

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
This issue is still present in version 6.0.3.2 (x64). However, I opened this specific file in LibreOffice 3.3 and I must say compatibility with Word has drastically improved since then.
I tested with LO 7.0+ and there are differences to MSO. DOCX is 2007 but same if resaved in MSO. But this bug is wrong from the beginning, this is "document based" but it should be "issue based". I see the following problems, and a single one can remain in this bug, others should be first searched for duplicates in existing bugs: 1. 2nd page text box is wrong horizontally positioned, MSO setting is "Absolute position 0cm to the right of column". Maybe a duplicate of bug 100920. 2. 2nd page fist column text is bold and it's not in MSO 3. 2nd page last column text is wrong font Arial, MSO is Trebuchet MS (Body) 4. 2nd page last sandy beach image is different position and size in LO because it's cropped in MSO and scaled to 34% and Layout in table cell, although shows 8,49 cm x 5,38 cm in both.
These are old issues: 2nd page text box is wrong horizontally positioned, MSO setting is "Absolute position 0cm to the right of column". Maybe a duplicate of bug 100920 or bug 119697. 2nd page last sandy beach image is different position and size in LO because it's cropped in MSO and scaled to 34% and Layout in table cell, although shows 8,49 cm x 5,38 cm in both. Looks like size is inherited from OO, even before other content was improved and table shown. These are new regression issues, not in 6.4.0, looks like from LO 6.5+ and I change bug to them: 2nd page fist column text is bold and it's not in MSO 2nd page last column text is wrong font Arial, MSO is Trebuchet MS (Body)
