If you apply an alternating gradient, the default (angle, increment, etc.) does not save the change. Only the default format can be applied as a page background, object, etc.
Sorry for my English, I use Google.

Also reproduces on 5.2.4.2
Build ID: 3d5603e1122f0f102b62521720ab13a38a4e0eb0

The default gradient brackground from white to balack gets applied when reloading a saved file from disk.

Sorry, I meant:

Also reproduces on impress 5.2.4.2
Build ID: 3d5603e1122f0f102b62521720ab13a38a4e0eb0

The default gradient brackground from white to black gets applied when reloading a saved file from disk.

Suspecting the issue to be common to write and impress. Attempting to re-categorize to UI as suggested on https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=LibreOffice

Sorry, but I do not understand. I speak Spanish and use google to translate my text. Google translates appallingly badly from English to Spanish (I guess the same is true backwards).

I guess this is bug#105922
