I have a database with columns A to AA with 13356 lines. Searching a name "HALL" the search does not find all entries and seems to be missing the surname column completely.
Hello Bernard, Thank you for reporting the bug. Please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it. Created attachment 130950 [details] WW2 Para Veterans Try searching HALL and see how many you find, the name appears in Notes and in the Surname list but search is not showing them all.
I think there is not a bug. How you are searching? with [Ctrl+F], you need to use [Ctrl+H] to setting up the search properly. Search for 'hall' with regular options enable, Find: \bhall\b so you can find all words 'hall' Maybe what is happening for you, is you are searching for 'hall' with Entire Cells enable, so only cells with only this word are found. https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/List_of_Regular_Expressions Resolved as not a bug, please if you are not agree reopen it.
