Description Gabor Kelemen (allotropia) 2017-02-06 21:14:44 UTC
We apparently have an Impress export filter called Placeware:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/tree/filter/source/placeware

According to Wikipedia this format belongs to a web conferencing product of the same name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlaceWare

This was acquired in 2003 by Microsoft, renamed to Microsoft Office Live Meeting, then discontinued:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office_Live_Meeting

Maybe it is time to shave off an obsolete feature?

Hello Gabor,

Could you please send an email to the dev mailing list in order to have some dev opinions instead?
Moving to NEEDINFO until we have a decision here...

I support the removal..

Looking at the code I don't think it exports anything useful anyway. Reducing the export formats in the UI with this removal is a much better "feature".
