Description hugotrip@free.fr 2017-02-16 23:18:12 UTC
Description:
Some docx and xlsx appeared to be empty.
After a trial on a clean install where everything was okay, I checked my configuration and it appeared the troublemaker was ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/psprint/pspfontcache : simply deleting it fixed my troubles.

So there's no urge for me about this bug, I 'm just transmitting it, in case of usefulness.
I will attach the troublemaker, for the record.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.copy the attachment to ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/psprint/pspfontcache
2. open a docx or a xlsx

Actual Results:
no text is displayed

Expected Results:
msoffice documents should be readable

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

I forgot : I've tried the attachment of bug 104602 and my fix doesn't resolve this one.

I tried it, but no problems with docx. Please tell us an example file that shows empty.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the document.

docx example

here's a docx example that appears empty with the faulty pspfontcache
Comment 6 hugotrip@free.fr 2017-08-30 21:07:44 UTC
by the way, I updated the version of libreoffice affected, because this pspfontcache file is still faulty with the 5.3.5.2 release, and I doubt the docx example will be useful, because as I said at the time I filed the bug every docx or xlsx I tried appeared empty, more precisely, of text : in the docx example, the buttons of the list still appear.

I tested with your faulty pspfontcache and the document, but it does not appear empty.

That's not surprising me, as I said earlier.
If you'd like, I can send you a screenshot with this docx example.

Dear Hugo,
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Hello,
I've -I hope- some good news for you : I've replaced my current pspfontcache with the faulty one, and had no troubles launching the example docx : It appears exactly the same using my current pspfontcache, or the faulty one.
The only subtlety is that I've tried with the latest version of LibreOffice coming from my distro (fedora) : problem is solved on 6.1.2, but I didn't check on 6.1.3.

Is it enough ?
Comment 11 Xisco Faulí 2018-11-27 22:24:15 UTC
I assume, if it's fixed in 6.1.2, it should be in 6.1.3
Thanks for retesting.
