Created attachment 131297 [details] Overlapping display of text in calc Sometimes characters in calc are displayed wrong during entering. An example screenshot is provided in attachment. I can see letters I'm entering in the entry box, but in the cell they are overlapping. It is not systematic behavior. I can send by e-mail sample file and I will try to find a file, which I can post here. My setup Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit, Libreoffice 5.2.5.1. I think I got this problem first with 5.2.x versions.
Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present

The issue is not affecting Libreoffice on Windows 7, when I run it on virtualbox
When I enable Use OpenGL for all rendering, the issue disappears, but this option negatively affects performance of the application (jerking during scrolling and significantly slower response in large files), so it is not an option to use.
Lowering to minor: Can slow down but will not prevent high quality work. (given last comment)
