Description seo 2017-02-24 08:16:14 UTC
Description:
Updated to Libre 5.3.0.3 and it causes Photoshop CS3 to CRASH. It becomes unusable. If I backup restore to prev version all is fine. Something about 5.3.0.3 is causing ntdll.dll to CRASH. Updating my PSHop to CS6 but prob wont matter ntdll.dll is used by a LOT of programs and 5.3.0.3 is crashing the DLL.

My System is AMD-FX4300. Rolled back to 5.2.5.1 and all is OK again. Something changed between the versions for AMD users thats crashing ntdll.dll.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Photoshop CS3
2. Immediate Crash or Open any Document
3.

Actual Results:
version 5.3.0.3 crashes ntdll.dll on AMD systems. I'm using AMD FX-4300

Expected Results:
ntdll.dll shouldnt crash because of Libre!!

Reproducible: Always

Can not confirm on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with nVidia GPU
Version: 5.3.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 7074905676c47b82bbcfbea1aeefc84afe1c50e1
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; Layout Engine: new;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group

and

Adobe CS4 Photoshop 11.0.2 (64-bit, or 32-bit).

Kind of doubt that the packaging for LO would touch this MS .dll--it is not referenced in the MSI package for the 5.3.0.3 installer. But, possible that GPU is being changed set active/deactivated by the LibreOffice installation and that impacts Photoshop. Have you tried forcing the GPU off, or disabling OpenGL rendering?

Isn't a Base-bug. I have changed this to component LibreOffice instead.
