Hello,

if I make glue points on a group they are not visible. If I click on the icon to show them, I have to move the group (why they don't show up when I click the button?), then the glues from the object inside of the group showed up (why they showed up when I cannot connect to them? so its more confused), but not the glues from the group itself.

Here you can find the test file :)

/confirmed

As commented on bug 106305, comment 3 the glue points work and are stored. But they are not visible (maybe a z-order issue?) so editing is not possible.

A workaround consists in define a glue point in a shape internal to the group in the same position that there are a glue point in the group. If you do so, LibreOffice is confuse and it shows the internal glue points when using the connectors over the groups.
Comment 12 birnbach@posteo.de 2022-11-09 09:14:25 UTC
The proposed workaround does not work for me. No matter if the sticky point is defined on the group or on an item inside the group the point does not show up when the connector tool is used.

Example of workaround

This attachment shows the workaround of define the glue points twice (one in the grouped shapes and other into the shapes of the group).

The glue points must be in the exact same position (used a grid).

I can confirm that the workaround works as described. Alas, it seems like a very poor solution to the problem.

The workaround may be worthwhile on heavily reused objects like in a library. But then, should the bug eventually get fixed one would end up with twisted library objects.

I totally agree with you. The bug would have to be resolved.

noticing the same behavior in OOo 3.3.0m20 (Build:9567)
