Spreadsheet with linked spreadsheets.

A spreadsheet (xls, ods, or xlsx) may contain links to other spreadsheets.

These links can be managed via the 'Edit Links' dialog that can be opened via the 'Edit > Links' menu item.

The 'Edit Links' dialog does not show all links from the document. LibreOffice may ask 'This file contains links to other files. Should they be updated?' when opening a file but not show any links in the 'Edit Links' dialog.

Saving and reloading the spreadsheets can make the links visible.

For example, the attached spreadsheet asks 'This file contains links to other files. Should they be updated?' when it is opened but shows no links in the 'Edit Links' dialog. If the file is saved as .ods and reopened, it asks again if the links should be updated. Now the links are visible in the 'Edit links' dialog.

I'm using 5.2.0.4. In this version the 'Link...' menu entry is disabled, so the dialog you see cannot be opened.

So somewhere between 5.2.0.4 and 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ the issue seems to have been solved.
Comment 4 Jos van den Oever 2017-03-28 12:15:01 UTC
To be precise: that dialog is disabled when opening the attached document.

When the document is saved as .ods and reopened, the 'Links...' menu entry is enabled and shows the same link that is shown in the attached screenshot 'how i see it'.

This bug is not present in LibreOffice 5.3.1.2.

There is indeed one external link in this file. The link that is shown in the screenshot is correct.

On my machine with LO 5.4 I can confirm that this is fixed.

The link to "/Users/VelthuisR/gemeentefonds/verdeling%20sociaal%20domein/uitkeringen,%20bijstand/gef_2016_bm_2016-05%20RV.xls" that is listed in xl/externalLinks/_rels/externalLink1.xml.rels is shown correctly.

Thanks for testing it again on the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME
