Created attachment 132177 [details] screenshot With reference to attachments: #CALC-arrot untranslated text #CALC-cerca untranslated text #CALC-cercaO untranslated text #CALC-cercaV untranslated text #CALC-indir1 "notation" is a repetition of "notazione" #CALC-indir2 "ASSOLUTO" has to be "ASS" #CALC-indir3 also here "notation" is a repetition of "notazione" #CALC-nomi1a menu is "Inserisci - Espressioni con nome - Definisci" #CALC-nomi1b "Cambia" button does not exist (and further: how to rename?). Same as above from "Inserisci - Espressioni con nome - Gestisci". #CALC-nomi2 special characters "." and " " are invalid, only "_" allowed. #CALC-nomi3 clicking on Aiuto (Help) from "Inserisci - Espressioni con nome - Inserisci" no help (it goes to the beginning of the guide). #CALC-rawsubtract untranslated text and invalid function #CALC-ricerca "Testo è il testo da cui parte la ricerca" would be translated "Testo in cui eseguire la ricerca" (in effect EN is "Text is the text where the search will take place"). The Example "=RICERCA(54; 998877665544) restituisce 10" is misleading: the string begins with a blank character, so, beeing a number, the result is really 10 but was it a text string the result would be 11 as in =RICERCA(54;" 998877665544"). The EN example is instead right: =SEARCH(54;998877665544). Moreover, being SEARCH a text function, also an example with a text string would be more appropriate. #CALC-trova same as above for Search. The EN example is instead right: =FIND(76;998877665544). #CALC-vero the text "La funzione TRUE() ...)" must be "La funzione VERO() ...". Moreover the examples are wrong and would be =VERO() restituisce VERO and =NON(VERO()) restituisce FALSO. #CALC-gcd-mcd-mcm-lcm in IT GCD - LCM are invalid and items 38.3:38.6 are about COMBINAZIONE & COMBINAZIONE.VALORI (also for EN) #CALC-gcd GCD invalid #CALC-lcm 1 & 2 LCM invalid and omitted headers for COMBINAZIONE & COMBINAZIONE.VALORI (also for EN)

Forgot: looking for "ricerca" in the local guide - in "indice" appears an inconsistent page and you can not find the correct one - to find the correct page you have to look in "trova".
Why not work directly in Pootle, btw.? https://translations.documentfoundation.org/it/libo_help/scalc/
I am changing the component to Localization... it does seems to be an italian translation issue.
(In reply to Olivier Hallot from comment #24) > I am changing the component to Localization... it does seems to be an > italian translation issue. Hi Olivier, What the status of this issue? Should it be moved to NEW?
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #26) All the cases related to the https://help.libreoffice.org are still present in 5.4.4.2. Some cases related to the local help appears corrected, but ... 1) about attachment "CALC-nomi2": special characters "." and " " are invalid, only "_" allowed, that is "name_x" is allowed, but not "name.x", "name x". 2) about attachments "CALC-ricerca1 and 2": looking for "ricerca" in the local guide ... - searching in "indice" I get "collegamenti nelle celle" and clicking there it appears an inconsistent page and you can not find the correct one - to find the correct page you have to search in "trova" and click on "Ricerca valore destinazione".
Hello gmarco, A new major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported.

Please change it back to > 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. I'll verify. But a question: opening LO it appears a msg saying "an update of LO is available click on the icon for more information " then, by clicking on the icon, it says "LO 6.0.7 is available" but clicking on "download" proposes to me 6.1.3 why these misalignments?
Preamble: the html guide needs some revisions, as an example initially in Index appears WRITER, how to look for CALC? actually that is possible only forwarding page-to-page. 1) attachment 132177 [details] CALC-arrot about "ARROTONDA.ECCESSO" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Mathematical_Functions/it#ARROTONDA.ECCESSO it is still same: some text is still in English 2) attachment 132178 [details] CALC-cerca about "CERCA" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions/it#CERCA it is still same: some text is still in English 3) attachment 132179 [details] CALC-cercaO about "CERCA.ORIZZ" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions/it#CERCA.ORIZZ it is still same: "Sintassi" is still in English 4) attachment 132180 [details] CALC-cercaV about "CERCA.VERT" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions/it#CERCA.VERT it is still same: "Sintassi" is still in English 5) attachments 132181-132182 CALC-gcd-mcd-mcm-lcm https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Mathematical_Functions/it it is still same: about 35 GCD_EXCEL2003: invalid function about 38 LCM_EXCEL2003: invalid function 38.1 Sintassi 38.2 Esempio 38.3 Sintassi it refers to COMBINAZIONE(Numero 1; Numero 2) 38.4 Esempio idem 38.5 Sintassi it refers to COMBINAZIONE(Numero 1; Numero 2) 38.6 Esempio idem 6) attachments 132183-132184 CALC-indir1-CALC-indir2 about "INDIRIZZO" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions/it#INDIRIZZO it is still same: the English word "notation" is in excess and the text is confused: "In caso di notazione R1C1 notation, la funzione INDIRIZZO restituisce ..." and "La funzione INDIRETTO viene salvata senza conversione nel formato ODF 1.0/1.1" and in the example the reference is to another function: "Se la cella A1 nella tabella 2 contiene il valore -6, con la funzione in B2 potete fare riferimento indirettamente alla relativa cella, digitando in una formula =ASSOLUTO(INDIRETTO(B2)).... 7) attachment 132185 [details] CALC-indir3 about "INDIRETTO" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Spreadsheet_Functions/it#INDIRETTO it is still same: the English word "notation" is in excess and the text is confused: "In caso di notazione R1C1 notation, la funzione INDIRIZZO restituisce ... e INDIRETTO attende ..." and "Quando aprite documenti dal formato ODF 1.0/1.1, le funzioni INDIRIZZO che ..." and "Nel memorizzare un documento nel formato ODF 1.0/1.1, se le funzioni INDIRIZZO prevedono ..." 8) attachments 132186-132186 CALC-lcm 1-CALC-lcm 12 ignore them, duplicates of the att.132182 9) attachment 132188 [details] to 132191 CALC-nomi.. all has been changed and appears ok 10) attachment 132192 [details] CALC-rawsubtract about "RAWSUBTRACT" https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Mathematical_Functions/it in the index the item 9 RAWSUBTRACT is unrelated (NOT IT) 11) attachment 132193 [details] CALC-ricerca about "RICERCA" it is still same, in Sintassi we see: RICERCA("Testo ricercato"; "Testo"; Posizione) TrovaTesto è il testo da cercare. (but before it is writed "Testo ricercato") Testo è il testo da cui parte la ricerca. (but you should say "è il testo dove ricercare" Moreover, the example can be misleading: there is a blank before the number and it gets ignored, but should it be a string (=RICERCA(54;" 998877665544") the result would be 11. All that is identic in the html guide too. 12) attachment 132194 [details] CALC-trova about "TROVA" same as said about "RICERCA" 13) attachment 132195 [details] CALC-vero about "VERO" it is still same: we see "Restituisce il valore logico VERO. La funzione TRUE() non richiede ..." shoul be VERO().
I'll set to NEW, but gmarco, please work with the Italian localisation team.
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #31) > I'll set to NEW, but gmarco, please work with the Italian localisation team. Really, it is a big old. What do you mean with working with the Italian localisation team? It is evident that in the help.libreoffice.org/.../it there are some imbalances that should be arranged according to logic.

I took the example of https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Mathematical_Functions/it#ARROTONDA.ECCESSO I don't understand the exclamation paragraph (beginning with "If the spreadsheet is exported to MS Excel...") isn't translated whereas it is on Pootle, see https://translations.documentfoundation.org/it/libo_help/translate/#search=always%20rounds%20away%20from%20zero&sfields=source,target,notes (updated 1 year ago).

The wikihelp has not been updated in a long time and will be going to the graveyard. We should be looking at https://help.libreoffice.org/6.2/it/text/scalc/01/04060106.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3152518
You may close this bug, all questions still unresolved have been joined in new bug 120976
Thank you for your feedback. Let's put this one to WFM then.
excuse me: not "new bug 120976" but old 106523
I don't understand what you mean. You're talking about tdf#120976 in comment 36 tdf#106523 and tdf#120976 in comment 38 and we're discussing right now in tdf#106803. So 3 bugtrackers concerned. Which bugtracker can be closed?
#106803 no more usefull, all questions in life on #106523 #120976 wrong reference #106523 in life
(In reply to gmarco from comment #40) > #106803 no more usefull, all questions in life on #106523 > > #120976 wrong reference > > #106523 in life So if I understand you well, we can close only tdf#106803, are we ok with this?
YES, OK
