Description Kurt Nielsen 2017-04-09 09:40:04 UTC
Description:
Tried 5.3.2, but had to go back to 5.2.6 as this delay renders 5.3 unusable. Tried with and with out OpenGL, new or old files, same problem, the machine is a lenovo laptop 8 logical processors 12 GB RAM.

There is also an 8-10 sec delay in opening the "area" dialogue once an object is selected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Draw two objects
2. Select one observer delay
3. Select another observe delay

Actual Results:
8-10 sec delay on selecting with heavy CPU usage

Expected Results:
The object could be worked on

Reproducible: Always

Sounds like bug 104312
Comment 2 Kurt Nielsen 2017-04-10 09:15:50 UTC
I think it is the same bug, from reading the descriptions, however please note that this also contains a serious delay when opening the area dialog on an object. I would highly suspect the new color picker implementation to be the main suspect for the multi-sec delay.
