To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
Yes i tried the steps with safe mod, sadly with no change. Before the crash screen appears, i get the file recovery dialog box without any files on the list
Could you please attach a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug.

No OpenGL is disabled. I am using Windows 10. I tried opening the files in another PC and i don't have a problem there. I am starting to believe that it has to do with this specific machine i am using.

No the machine doesn't have a special configuration it is a standard Dell laptop. I've downloaded "LibreOffice 5.3.2 Portable MultilingualStandard" and it works fine. Thanks!
