Choosing the following "Envelope Orientations" also change the envelope size: Horizontal, left edge; Vertical, right edge; Vertical, centered. The other choices work fine.
Please attach an example file. Also: what do you mean by "left/right edge" and "centered"? (Give information like you were talking to someone who has never used this particular feature) Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
Created attachment 132774 [details] Examples of issue I was not able to show all of the issues. Only the two end envelope orientation selections yield the proper envelope size. All other selections change the size of the envelope.
Thanks. That refreshed my memory. Do you think this is basically the same mess as described in bug 60557? I should unleash our designers to tear the whole Envelope dialog apart..
It may be the same. However, I am seeing a change in envelope size. I don't think it is a problem with icon orientation or any orientation problem. I'm pretty sure if the envelope size wasn't changed, the orientation of the page and the offsets of the printed information (addresses) would be correct. I should have included that I first noticed the problem on a Windoze XP printer, using an old HP printer and a relatively new Canon printer. The Canon printer centers the envelope. Any other position causes jams. For the examples, I was using a laptop running Ubuntu (16.04, I think). So, it seems to be OS independent.
Reproduced. Tested on Ubuntu 20.04 too, with following results: - Horizontal Left: OK - Horizontal Center: OK - Horizontal Right: OK - Vertical Left: wrong (22.71 cm width by 21.59 cm height) - Vertical Center: wrong (22.71 cm × 16.50 cm) - Vertical Right: OK Measurements as reported in Format > Page style > Page. The expected size is 22.71 cm × 11.41 cm. Interesting that the two incorrect ones don't match the ones originally reported. Reading bug 51132, it also talks about specific orientations messing things up, so let's dupe this and the other three ones to it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 51132 ***
