Description: There appears to be no way to delete a hyperlink button except to delete the entire sheet which contains it. (1) A hyperlink button is missing a right-click context menu, so the button cannot be deleted using a right-click selection. (2) Moreover, when the button is left-clicked, the button object is activated (calling up the requested web page) but not selected (the previously selected cell remains selected). (3) Selecting a range of cells containing the button does not select the button object, so clearing formatting is ineffective. Steps to Reproduce: In a sheet you can delete... 1. Create a hyperlink button (a) From menu at top: Insert -> Link (b) In the popup, under form, select Button. Enter URL (https://www.google.com) Text (Google) Data (Google) (c) Select OK to create the hyperlink. 2. Right-click the button. (Nothing happens.) 3. Select the row containing the button. Then right-click the row and select delete rows. (The object remains after the row is deleted.) 4. Select the row containing the button. Then from the menu at the top of the page, select Format -> Clear Direct Formatting. (The button is unaffected.) 5. Right-click the sheet tab and select Delete Sheet. (The sheet disappears along with the button.) Actual Results: The button was completely unaffected by all operations except "Delete Sheet". Expected Results: In step (2) above, a right-click menu should have appeared containing options to modify and to delete the button. In step (3) above, deleting the row containing the button should delete the button object. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I am using the PortableApps.com version of LibreOffice. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
Hi Eric, To get the context menu or delete the button, you have to enable the "Design Mode". Just open the "Form Controls" toolbar (menu View > Toolbars > Form Controls), and click on the "Design Mode" button. @Jay: Can we have the "Design Mode" entry also in the Edit menu, similar to Writer and Impress?
