compatibility setting in calc demo

there is a problem with the compatibility setting in calc.

steps to reproduce:
- open attached calc document
- cell D5 shows #VALUE! (AOO 4.1.2 shows 0)
- Set "Tools/Options.../LibreOffice Calc/Formula/Detailed Calculation Settings"
  -> Custom -> [Details...]
-> Conversion from text to number [Treat as Zero]
-> [x] Apply those settings to current document only

notice:
-> document needs a full recalc (strg+shift+F9) to apply settings

-> settings are not saved, after save & reload #VALUE is displayed again

Confirmed it needs a hard recalc and the option it's not per file.

Comment 7 Xavier Van Wijmeersch 2018-05-07 06:34:58 UTC
I did follow your instructions, but the difference is that i never recalculate exel file or not created ods with dev LO. That is why i could not reproduce the problem. In your demo file, on the screenshot you can see the option always recalculate is selected for both items.

When i use always recalculate then i can reproduce the problem.
Comment 8 b. 2019-03-24 00:34:08 UTC
with 6.3.0.0.alpha0+_2019-03-22 changing the option to 'treat as zero' needs a forced recalc, and 'apply those settings to current document only' is not persistent over save-load, while without it - global apply - document loads with '0' next time,

Comment 9 b. 2020-01-22 11:23:17 UTC
with 6.4.0.2 document loads 'fine' (D5='0'), but changing the option

'Conversion from text to number' to

'treat as zero' with

'Apply those settings to current document only'

is still not persistent over save-load, switches back to

'Convert also locale dependent' everytime,

Dear Oliver Brinzing,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
