Description s.k.winter.blade 2017-05-01 04:13:32 UTC
When trying to save a remote file, the following errors occur:

1. It asks for a G-_____ code for Google Drive, even when 2FA is not activated. In addition, even with 2FA, the authenticator app is only for numbers that do not follow a G.

2. Even when inputting what's shown in the authenticator app, the following error message is received: "Error saving the document [TITLE OF THE DOCUMENT]
General input/output error."

I have tried to remedy the problem by removing the Google Drive completely, only for the problem to return and persist.

Just to confirm, are you really using iOS?
I suspect you are not.
In any case, please test with version 5.3.2.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Why are you accusing me of not using iOS? That is really rude. I am on a MacBook Pro.

The 6-digit prompt still occurs on the update. I am not sure why. I also don't know what number they are looking for because I don't remember inputting anything aside from the master password.

I didn't. You yourself set the operating system to iOS. I will not correct it.

@s.k.winterblade : please bear with me if I've misunderstood something, but I use Google Drive natively on OSX 10.12.4 setup as if it were a native OS folder, and I have no problem loading, editing or saving files, so could you be a bit more specific about how exactly you are attempting to access your files ?

Setting to NEEDINFO pending requested information.

Also please indicate:

- whether you are using a LibreOffice version from the AppStore or from the LibreOffice project download website;

- whether the problem is still present in a current production release of LibreOffice from the project website (5.2.7 or 5.3.3)

@Alex: I downloaded LibreOffice from the website. I didn't realize you could from the iOS app store. I wonder if that might have worked better. I am using the 5.3.3. I downloaded that build thinking it might resolve the problem, but it doesn't.

Here is a breakdown of my issue:

1.) My gmail account for remote file saving does not have 2FA enabled.

2.) I used to be able to remotely save document files using a master password.

3.) LibreOffice's remote saving first prompts me to type in a username and the master password, which I can still do like I've always done. However...

4.) After typing in the master password, a new window now appears asking me to type a number after "G-_______". I have no idea what numbers the system is looking for, and I don't receive a text message with any Google authentication numbers. This is where I am at a loss as to what to do.

As a result, I can no longer save or access my remotely saved files on Google Drive using LibreOffice.

The LibreOffice app from the app store unfortunately has other bugs...we recommend (at least for QA purposes) using the versions available from the LibreOffice website, as you have done.

So, it would appear that Google has changed its API for logging in (that would also correspond to the different login screens now when other apps request access to the Google account. My guess is that the code we implement no longer works with Google's new authentication API. This actually kind of rings a bell as something already reported, so this report might be a duplicate.

That number code request sounds like a 2FA or OTP code request.
