I don't get it.
When I open Happy Valentine.docx, I see create from template "Valentine's Day card.dot" which sounds logical.

When LO creates a new document from "Letter template", then on a DOCX round-trip I see it is created from template "Letter template" which sounds logical and is identical to what happens if I save to ODT.

I tested this using bibisect 7.1 oldest. So where is the problem?

Jay is gone, so will not reply. I didn't stop and think this before. Jay wanted us to start saving the full filename to the template field. Maybe it is an irrelevant request.
Comment 7 Justin L 2022-06-22 20:30:35 UTC
If the request is the actual file name as stored on the disk rather than the title of the template, then I would consider this irrelevant, especially since we treat DOCX the same way we treat ODT.
