Presentation I created in Libreoffice.

I put an animated gif in my presentation. One file is on the first slide and a couple of other slides, and the other file is on the last slide.

I saved as a pttx file.

I opened the pttx file in office on my wife's computer.

The gif does not play.

When we replace the images with the gif files in MS Office it then works.

Powerpoint exported from Libreoffice with save as option after replacing gifs using MS Word on a Windows computer.

We selected each gif in the presentation, deleted it, and then used the picture button in MS Word to add the gif from the USB drive.

Reproduced. One does not need MSO to test, it does not animate in LibO either.
