Description:
After upgrading to the newest stable version of LibreOffice (5.3.3.2), the file tabs that allow you to switch between open files sometimes never appear in the bottom panel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open first file from LibreOffice comes up with tab in panel
2. Additional tabs randomly either appear in panel or not
3. Downloaded files (Write, Calc etc or Office equivalents) often do not have tabs even if opened first.

Actual Results:
Random tabs after the first one either appear or don't in the bottom panel.

Expected Results:
All tabs opened should appear in the bottom panel.

Could you please try to reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test?

Which Linux distro and desktop environment are you using?

Set to NEEDINFO.

And did you try what Xisco said, Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode without doing anything else?

So it's Mint with Gnome and not Cinnamon?

Yup. Restarted it and the same thing happened in the test.

I think you should first test with Mint 18.1 and if it still continues, report it to Linux Mint bug tracker.

For various reasons, I'm not updating my entire O/S for one issue. It makes no sense, especially if LibreOffice does the same thing in 18.

So it's Cinnamon. Sorry. I thought Cinnamon was the Mint version of Gnome.

I tried installing Mint 18.1 in a VM, but the installer kept crashing..

In any case, I don't think it is the responsibility of LibreOffice devs to fix Cinnamon problems.

I agree. Closing as NotOurBug. Feel free to reopen if you have strong argument that the problem is on the LibreOffice side.
